The 2020 Virginia soybean performance test preliminary data is available for download below.

The early summer drought mainly affected maturity group 3 and early 4 tests when planted in May; therefore, there is considerable variation in those tests. Only the Orange location avoided that drought. Late-season rains resulted in good yields overall and less variability in the late 4's and group 5's in the full-season tests, and very good yields for most double-crop tests.

Note: greater coefficient of variation (CV) means more variability; hence, locations with low CVs represent the most trustworthy data.  Once CVs approach 15 or more, one should value the data at those locations less (e.g., many May planted group 3's and early 4's locations).
