Aquaculture farm visits show students the industry, practices, and people who bring Virginia seafood to the table

When enjoying seafood, many of us do not reflect on the network of farmers, processors, and businesses integral to delivering those delicious bites to our plates. In a series of aquaculture farm visits, Virginia Seafood AREC students, faculty, and staff from are seeing the industry side of things — talking with farmers, learning about a range of aquaculture practices, and observing seafood processing and packing facilities.
The first visit was to Pleasure House Oysters in Virginia.
