The aquaculture sector has been experiencing remarkable growth worldwide, becoming an increasingly important source of healthy and sustainable food. The theme for Aquaculture America 2023 is "Setting the Table for U.S. Aquaculture".

Virginia Seafood AREC faculty, staff, and visiting and student researchers join other researchers, farmers, and industry leaders at the conference in San Antonio, Texas to make new connections and share presentations on various aspects of aquaculture, including consumer preferences in marketing, economic impact assessment, sorghum protein for aquafeeds, shrimp aquaculture, and other research and Extension work.
