Join us on October 5, 2024 for our 18th Annual Mill Day!

10:00am - 2:00pm

This year marks the 193rd anniversary of the invention of the McCormick Reaper. The main attraction of the Mill Day will be the operation of the McCormick Grist Mill. Built in the late 1700's the Mill has been fully restored to working order. Mr. Glenn Wilson of Raphine will be on hand to operate the mill and answer questions about historical milling and the mechanical operation of the mill. In addition to the mill operation, there will be various vendors, music, and BBQ chicken by the Raphine Volunteer Fire Company. There will also be short farm tours to view and discuss the agricultural research being conducted at the Shenandoah Valley AREC. The Marl Creek Interpretive Trail will also be open for you to hike and enjoy.
